A tiger came to tea!

The last few days we have been wandering  around trying to find somewhere to eat, we did know of two places, one was very expensive for every day and the other was fine, had a nice atmosphere but it's menu was limited. On one of our wanders we decided to explore up a side street , this street has
lots of lovely shops and it also has a restaurant called the Royal Penguin, it looked nice from the outside, so we looked at the menu. Bingo, not only does it have good food but the staff are lovely and it has little added details!

You can have a cuddly toy sit with you. Maybe it is supposed to be for children but hey, why not.

I don't think the tiger was impressed with our vegetarian choices.

Each table can have a flag of its choice.

Look what is on the menu, the waiter did tell us it is imported. This is quite expensive for a meal we usually pay about 300 Nepalese rupees each.

So it is not only Scotland that fries everything, maybe that is a gap in the market that needs to be filled.

We loved this and it works we actually went for High Sociability and the waiter came straight over and started talking to us about Kathmandu. Might be an idea for work. You turn the pages to show the option you want.

Bagpuss flying the flag

The waiter we had was lovely, he brought the tiger over and got it it's own chair, he gave David his coke in a funny glass, it was squint, he went ferreting for a Scotland flag, and then said he had another surprise for us and brought us a beautiful enamelled wooden box. He asked us what we thought the surprise was, we came out with all these lovely ideas, all wrong so he took the lid off. It was cutlery! Hootsmin, this place is posh.

The bill actually came in a dolphin box with lovely sweets.

We went back the next day and ordered soup so we would have room for pudding - forward planning. The bread came in a wee shopping trolley, superb.

That's bagpuss' happy face.
