Castries, St Lucia.

The good thing about this cruise is that you sail during the night and then visit a new town every day. This means I can sleep through most of the movement of the ship and also there is always somewhere new to explore every day which keeps it interesting.

Our next port of call was Castries in St Lucia. This was a small town for us to wander around but we walked to this nice park which had very colourful buildings lining it. They reminded us of the television programme Ballamory.

The park was very quiet with only a couple of locals walking around in it when we arrived. The day was very hot so we sat on the edge of a large bandstand for a rest. Then two more tourists came in and decided to sit on the band stand too, however they were so close they were virtually on David's lap. Honestly,  they had loads of room to sit around the edge of the bandstand but didn't, bizarre.

When we decided to leave we headed across the park but every other gate was padlocked so we had to head out the way we came. It was very nice sitting in the park, very calm and peaceful with lots of birds singing away.

Another interesting sign, there was actually another one close by telling us to be careful as the cacti are spiky! Shiver me timbers, it's a dangerous world out there.
